I'm a refugee from the conservative refuge

I've listened to the past four conservative refuge PodCasts and I have to say "Its just too much like BS". Could this be too much like Bryan Simonaire or too much like BullSh**? Both.

Greg, you've lost my interest. I went to private school, got accepted into college, and even was able to bypass most of the English program due to the high scores I received during testing..... But I still need a dictionary and the rewind button to catch everything you say. Also, it seems you allow almost no rebuttal to your comments. I want to know what the other side has to say about the issue without your complete and udder input on what you think they may be delving into.

Maybe its just a little too conservative (and wordy) for my taste. Sorry to everyone if I seem to picky.

That is the problem with words of the day and how to books on how to make yourself appear smarter. Don’t get me wrong on this though, I think Brian is a very intelligent person but sometimes he tends to go overboard in his word use. Don’t take that too hard Brian when you read it, I am only being candidly truthful. Not that I think it necessarily wrong but you have to speak to your audience.
If you look at Fleckenstein, I think that is why he has a hard time winning elections; he talks over people’s head which turns them off. But I will agree when definitions have to be posted, that does suggest there is a problem. Not that I don’t like Greg’s show, I think it is done really well and I try to listen to it as soon as it comes out, although I still have yet to listen to the one I was on. How was it by the way? I also think the idea of doing the blog that way is a good way to reach people that do not like to read. Personally I prefer to read something over watching or listening to it.

Well, I seem to share your preference of reading. I listened to the podcast that you were aired on and you did a pretty good job. Things were straightforward and well said.

"Don’t take that too hard Brian when you read it, I am only being candidly truthful. Not that I think it necessarily wrong but you have"- Isn't that what its all about David, being candidly truthful? After all, I'd expect nothing less from you!

Yes, but I was trying to soften the blow.

I also can't hesitate to say that Greg seems to be a legend in his own mind. Sorry Greg, your no Steve Rouse or G. Gordon Liddy. I'm suprised I haven't heard a wordy reply from you yet.

Wow, and people call me harsh. I think Greg does a fine job.

Hey, I just say what comes to mind...

Thanks for listening, I guess. I would love to share your point of view but you have never sent it to me. Hell, I let people leave voicemail to run on the show unedited so it is not like I don't allow any rebuttal. If you listen to the shows, I have read feedback often from people who disagree. I welcome it and encourage it.

As for the "legend in my own mind", I am not sure where that is coming from. I can understand being verbose, a fair criticism, but the show is just an alternative form of the blogs we all do.

Frank, it is a labor or love and I can live without being a Rouse or Liddy (speaking of someone who is a legend in his own mind).

Will you join us on a future blogger roundtable? Can I share your post on the next show as listener feedback?

I admit, I can only listen from time to time and in increments. Unfortunately, I have a hard time dedicating 30 minutes to sitting down in front of a computer and digesting what I heard. I like talk radio. Still, I listen to it on the go. It's difficult to do that with a podcast.

Bud,

Put that iPod or mp3 player on your gift list. Than you can be liberated to listen (not just to the podcast) anywhere.

Greg, I don't mind if you use my 'refugee' post on your blog. As for the roundtable, I'm not so sure it would be a good idea. It seems that only 'company men' are given a prominent voice. All other voices are marginalized.

Did you just seriously call me a company man? C'mon Frank, give me a break!
