Illusions of Grandeur

Well, I see Greg Kline finally climbed out from under his rock and made some semblance of a reply to my last Blog Entry. Oh and how the words fly as he explains how he "Knows hes made it big" even comparing his success to that of Howard Stern. It came to me after reading Kline's great work I entitled for him "Illusions of Grandeur," that the people we should be asking about Greg's great success are the voters of 33A. I guess that thought never occurred to him. And if his success is more recent, I have yet to see the people of 33A's grass-roots campaign to get Kline into the 2010 primary for any position.

Kline also claims that I listen to his podcast avidly to make sure i catch every last syllable and to see what he is going to say next in order to ridicule him. Saying this as a reasonably sane human being, That statement couldn't be further from the truth. I can't stand Kline's podcast, let alone listening to every word of mindless drivel that comes from a wanna-be delegate and a few of his cronies.

However, Kline always pops up at the least expected time and says something rash or something about 10 miles out of line. Before the holiday, Kline posted a multi-paragraph dictation on what he believed was so greatly terrible about Del. James King and how people should retaliate against his decisions. His biggest hit on King was his yea vote for higher taxes. Well, Ground Control to Major Greg, He obviously wasn't the only one who voted that way seeing how the bills were passed, so why are we attacking only Del. King? Why? Because Kline still can't get over the fact that he isn't in King's position, and that he lost the election.

The biggest reason I can't stand the attack against King is because Kline chose to tell people to retaliate against him using the threat of destroying his livelihood, aka his business ventures.

"Many have suggested boycotting restaurants in which King has a small ownership interest. Take this one step further. Demand that Republican groups, like the West County Republican Club, not meet at these restaurants and vow to never support any group or candidate who has an event there.King gets great mileage from making his places available to others. Boycotting his ability to collect political chits will do much more than trying to reduce overall business."

I don't care what way you look at this Kline, you reduce his business at all in any way you're an SOB in my book.

Kline has also recently gone on the warpath for our other lovable blogger, Bud. As I was trying to enjoy reading Red Maryland, which I have recently gotten into (with the exceptions of Kline's posts), I notice Kline left an extremely harsh comment towards Bud, not only insulting him, but questioning his loyalty to his parties interests and beliefs: https://www.blogger.com/comment.gblogID=5526679980101311470&postID=8107231733893940731
So what if Bud walks to the beat of a slightly different drum? That's his right.

In that link, Kline also states "There are no such things as conservative democrats." This shows the world how hard core right wing conservative Kline really is and why he wasn't elected: Because he's close to, if not a conservative radical. That's something I believe that this county can't endure that well, let alone the entire country. Not only that, being an arrogant, Pompous Ass isn't helping his cause too much in the grand scheme of things.

Don't worry Greg, the voters already forgot your name. Better luck next time.

Love,

Frank

He's at it again

Seems that Greg Kline has been putting out some pent up aggression on all fronts. Within in the past couple of days, Greg has not only gone on the war path for Del. King of 33A, I also see he had really given bud a hard time at Red Maryland.

In a quote from Kline to bud, Kline exclaims: "Your support for a party that so clearly rejects your purported views calls your judgment into serious question."

That's a pretty harsh set of words for anyone on here to use. I agree with more than a few statements that have been made, not only by bud, but in e-mails i have exchanged with other bloggers that Kline is trying to win some "brownie points" with hard right wing conservatives and those at red Maryland.

Greg, its this simple about the Del. King problem you have:
The voters chose Del. King because they see (or chose to see) what I see in you.

Happy Thanksgiving you Pompous Ass. I'm glad to see yet again you've buried the needle in the arrogance meter.

Love,
Frankie

Just to Piss Everyone off After Tonight's Awful Ravens Game

It seems as if Bob Irsay's name has been coming up a helluva lot lately. Just a quick photo caption for old memories.

In the comment section, I want every reader to make their own caption for this picture. Best one gets the 'Enigma Award' (whatever that is).

An afterthought:

I will be the first to admit I don't watch as much in the way of football as many other people do, but the Baltimore/Pittsburgh game is one that I always turn on. After this performance, Billick needs to go. I've been reading recently that Billick favors rest and relaxation to good, old fashioned practice. I can see the results as I sit here at half-time and look at the 35-7 score.

O'Malley's Tax Rate Hikes a Go?

An unnamed source within the state house has alerted me to some troubling news. It seems that after much deliberation, the tax rate hikes that O'Malley so desperately wants are going to become a stiff reality.

Not trying to start a rumor mill going here folks, but thought many of you might like the early warning. Source says that he is 95% sure many of the request O'Malley has are a 'Done Deal'. What a shame.

Bud's Hotelgate

Seeing Bud's "Hotelgate", I just couldn't help myself but make another parody.
It was based off of the "Watergate Story" poster on washingtonpost.com. For those of you who are wondering what "Hotelgate" is, visit Bud and this page:
http://budtheblogger.blogspot.com/2007/10/hotelgate-what-others-are-saying-about.html

Simonaire the Hypocrite

In addition to the last post about the goon himself, I would like to add more great news about the Simonaire Saga that I posted about not so long ago. After talking with some inside sources at the state house, it seems that Brian Simonaire has yet again become ever more the hypocrite. As of yesterday, every senator received a one dollar coin from Simonaire asking them to think about the tax increases before the vote.

Thats a pretty low move in the scheme of things. I hope the democratic side shows him a thing or two about how to really get around in politics. After the bill he racked up for the people's taxes to pay in needless hotel room costs and other items, he deserves to have a good can of 'Political A** Whoopin' opened on him.

I do love the Gazette's spin on things with this move. In a quote from their political notes :
"No word yet on whether the Eastern Shore representatives will spend their dollars over the border in Delaware; whether the Southern Maryland politicians will use it for tobacco products in Virginia; or whether the Montgomery County delegation will ask Mr. Simonaire for another dollar."

Random Finds

I found this and it made me laugh pretty hard.

http://mamaoffour.blogware.com/blog/_archives/2007/4/9/2868504.html

Bryan Simonaire lives up to his initials.....

http://budtheblogger.blogspot.com/2007/10/bryan-simonaire-exposed_24.html

I like Bud's analysis of Walt Shandrowsky's guest column in today's Gazette. Straight and to the point. I hope that one percent that voted yes for Simonaire is happy to see how he's spending their tax dollars rather than leading by example to cut unnecessary spending. Simonaire is one of the closest senators to Annapolis in the entire chamber, and yet he spends money on hotels like its going out of style. If he was a delegate or senator from a part of the state such as the lower eastern shore or western Maryland, the expense would be somewhat understandable. But, lets face it, he is virtually right on top of Annapolis, and like mentioned, Sen. Ed DeGrange (same county, different district) turned in a bill of $0.

I can't wait to start hearing how the money-bunch-for-lunch like steve, Brian Griffiths, and Greg Kline are going to defend him. I'm sure anonymous posts are going to be springing up like psoriasis defending him. So, before you all start, stop your whining, because you all should have backed someone who takes a proactive stance rather than a "say one thing, do another" approach.

Lets face it, the "Lowering Taxes" plan (just as every other Simonaire plan) was as much of a lie before the election, as it is now.

Three Words

Consistent Conservative Leadership or Andy Harris, Congressman?

Do any of these words actually belong together??? The first line really seems equivalent to "military intelligence". We'll let the voters decide.

According to The Harris Website, he currently serves on the Senate Health Committee and the Joint Committee on Health Care Delivery and Financing.

If that could be the only element used to define his career, his opponent would have a cakewalk to win. Hospitals are overcrowded, Emergency Rooms as well, both emergency rooms and ambulance services are abused by the public, and the quality of health care in many places in the state is pathetic. I love how he touts that he is the only physician in the senate, because as a physician and advocate for the patient, he has done almost nothing. We need more hospitals, more nurses, more paramedics, and better quality. I'm not seeing a product of any of the things hes done except what already has been mentioned.

Start squeezing the buffalo.....taxes may be on the rise

After hearing a few days ago about the 29th of October being O'Malley's date for the call of the Special Session, it doesn't suprise me one bit. He predicts that the plans for new taxes and what appears to be his "budget busting plan" will be ready before or by thanksgiving. I don't think I share his same optimism on the subject. I think that he is probably going to be in for a rude awakening.

Makes me ponder the question if O'Malley is doing this knowing that his constituents (the democrats that control the hand) may pull him through or if this is just a blind leap of faith in order to make an easy way out of a budget crisis. It also compells me to think if this maybe a last resort before doing any "republican-like" budget cuts. I know he'd sooner cancel christmas.

And one last thing, Marty, quit trying to put the pressure on the people to back slots by using the threat of higher taxes. Its not good job security.

Blind leading the blind???

I was reading some of Brian Griffith's latest blogs and saw he presented himself in front of the Elephant club and had a vibrant forum on blogs. I have to admire him for the good will upshot this may bring to some of us here in the blogosphere, but it also may open the doors to even more conservative activists and hard right-wingers. I welcome more readers and opinion, but no more of the "Dwyerism" of throwing the right-wing book at anyone. Its been done quite a few times already, and if it became frequent, it would be a total pain in the duff.

Posting

I haven't seen much worth posting over lately....... Although my "Blog worth" rates over $1,600!!

Yeah, I have been following the trivial issues such as the republican central committee, John Leopold, and much of the legislation thats being put forth in the new year. Just waiting for something to pounce on thats good.

Oh well....

What May Be Next????

Since all this is really getting out of hand with "Video Commentary" and "Podcasts" I really couldn't help myself.

Oh, By the way.... Radial was really supposed to be RADICAL..... and after all that editing!! Oh well.

And I thought TCR Podcast was the End-All Be-All for these guys......

And this is the point of which I could no longer take it serously.

Down and Dirty, Candid Truth Style

Although some of David Kyle's blogs don't interest me as much as others, he always impresses me with his bluntness. I was looking through a post he made a few weeks ago:

John Leopold makes National News.

Now that is going National not like that claptrap at RedState.

I haven't heard a more sobering truth since Bud's rename of his Blog. However informative, RedState boasts a bit too much about being a national network. I think it also may be at bit too much like a forum for my liking to rather than a source of information. Letting the Brian Griffiths of the world be your reporters/newswriters doesn't seem too "fair and balanced" to me. Then again, I'd be stupid to believe any media outlet is honestly "Fair and Balanced".

As the world turns......

Or should I say as the AA GOP Central Committee spins blatantly out of control.......

As you all see I have been keeping quiet here lately, but with these developments I've decided to come out of hiding.

Brian Griffiths, yes sir, I too am speechless about the actions of our lovable republican central committee buddy, Victor Henderson. With all of the letters to the editor that he has written over the past few years you'd figure he could come up with something on his own rather than beg from someone who has an absolute disgust with the committee. That is so stupid that its almost laughable. But Brain, if you really want the support for this, I really wouldn't use Don Dwyer as a backup or crutch, whichever he may be (I.E. Your audio blog).

Lets talk about the Corcoran Statement too.... I like how he goes on with his "Rules for radicals" approach to Collins' actions, but before he does that, I suggest he learns the rules for radicals. After his response, its obvious hes diplomacy's worst nightmare and a statement like his is going to get you one step forward and two steps back with the fight.

And lastly, thank you for stating the obvious.... It is a cheap power struggle! Secret Meetings and Signed Vows....... lets put them all together on CBS, cancel Big Brother or Survivor number whatever and have our own show called "Backstabbers".

Thanks for Remembering me David

I'm glad to see someone notices me not being around once in a while, Thanks David Kyle, Lets me know someone still cares. Its kinda been nice thought to just sit back and watch everything play out around me. Theres been some pretty high points, such as seeing that pitiful petition go down by 275 signatures, and a few low ones when looking at some of the fee and tax increases on the horizon. I can't exactly recall what county it was in on the east coast, but after there was so much development, taxes were lowered because of the volume of money being brought in. Hopefully with BRAC and all of this development that the county approved, that may be able to eventually happen. Oh well, Until next time, I think I'll go kick back on the beach......

No shoes--No shirt--No Problem.

Old Chinese Proverb Say "Man in Glass house shall throw no stones!"

From David Kyle's Blog: "Wow, I feel bad. I saw the comment in Reily's Blog but now that you have put it where someone may actually read it I will add my two cents."- Greg Kline

Greg seems to be adding his 2 cents in on The Enigma just fine from what it appears. I just would love to see him publish his actual listener numbers and see how many people actually stop by and waste valuable time listening to the CR Podcast when they could be doing things like breathing heavily, watching a documentary on the migratory patterns of the sloth, or even poking out their mind's eye with a dull knife.

If you want to listen to something worthwhile, give Ed Norris a try......http://ednorris.com/index.php 11am-3pm on 105.7 WHFS.

Simonaire, Give it up already

Bryan Simonaire is continually attempting to fight a losing battle. The school board issue for this year is over. No matter what way you turn with this issue your about bound to lose. It seems like he may also be shooting himself in the foot going against Leopold. I guess Simonaire isn't that much of a thinker, because if he was he would have thought about the actions he is making, and the rather large possibility that John Leopold could be the next governor in a few years, I think his actions would have been a done deal after the first push. Sorry Brian, I think there may already be people higher and mightier than you who have already made these decisions. Have fun committing political suicide.

Lincoln Day Dinner

I am happy to report after attending the annual Lincoln Day Dinner, I was very much satisified with the event. I had a very appealing time, and went throughout the dinner my usual unnoticeable self. Without a formal introduction, I spoke in some detail with Mike Collins, who was what I liked to call the "main hand man" of the entire event. I can't help but see eye to eye with him on so many of his ideals and thoughts on the republican party and "conservative problem children" within it. Ah well, i left with a good full feeling, both in my stomach and mind.

Call me a slacker

Yeah, I haven't been posting as much as I should be, But to make up for it, heres some rants:

1. Martin O'Malley....Rouines a city and now a state. It puts me in sheer disgust of the man for being stupid enough to support a bill allowing illegal immigrants more money for college education, let alone any bill allowing them to do anything legally in this state. But, after seeing what mess he left in Baltimore City, I shouldn't at all be suprised at all of his actions. What am I paying state taxes for again?

2. I'm getting pretty sick of a change that happened during the Glendening Administration, that Glendening supported, and which to this day is why I never will like the man. Casino nights for non-profit orginizations. Lets bring gambling to back to Maryland, lets just do it the right way! Let these community groups that are out there for the good of the people havfe a casino night every month, let them rake in the money.... God knows it wouldn't hurt small fire companies, rescue squads, the shriners with their hospitals....etc. I'd sure like to know that the money that I may spend gambling is going toward a brand spanking new ambulance that I may need one day or a free hospital stay from those guys in the red dome hats!

Well, thats all my commenting for now.....
Keep on watching, I might do a trick!

Fire Department Overtime Budget

Its nice to see even though a 4th "overtime eliminating" shift has been enacted, there is still going to be plenty of overage on the overtime budget for the fire department. I know there is going to be an attempt to lay blame everywhere on this from the Fire Administrator to the County Executive, but I want to try to give everyone the true take on what has happened with this.

The 4th shift was OKed by Janet Owens and Ron Blackwell. I'd like to take the responsibility off of Chief David Stokes and Executive Leopold, but we can't fully, because they are the "Men" and the buck stops at their desks. Something new and really quick minded will have to be done about this problem, and looking at the background of Chief Stokes, it will.

Now, lets put another spin on things:

About 80% of the employees of the Fire Department don't live in Anne Arundel County, but screamed for a 4th shift, which made more overtime, and raised our taxes. These are members of the IAFF of Anne Arundel County, and yet still don't live here..... They live in other counties or states, where taxes are lower and its cheaper to live because Anne Arundel County is "too expensive" for their pay rate. Well, if they didn't request a 4th shift, and higher pay rate, wouldn't that be at least an attempt at making lower taxes for themselves to live where they work, and for the citizens they serve?

I admit, there is no pay high enough for Firemen, Paramedics, Police Officers, Jail Guards, Nurses, etc........ but in reality, aren't they making things harder for people who actually live here?

I'm ready for 2010!

I have spots staked out for them already. 2010 here I come!

Lets give Dave Kyle a good idea....

A fresh new start to 2010

Greg Kline and Jamison Moody, Same Mindset, Different View.......

Well, I just finished listening to the Conservative Refuge podcast again this week, and found myself yet again doubting Greg. I also came to the conclusion that he is almost an exact replica of Jamison Moody, except that they are of different parties and different views.

Greg, I like your response to my opinion about the rebuttal posts and voicemails, but Like I said, it's too much like BS. Too much like Bryan Simonaire in that he does his best to wander as far away from the truth as possible, and true bovine fecal matter. Let me ask a question that refutes what you have said. On your blog, the post titled "Why Such Bad Blood" from late January, Why has the comments page been edited so much that the bloggers names have been changed to anonymous? Lets not forget to add the fact that a few comments have also been deleted that I knew you didn't agree with.

Yeah, I'm blowing the whistle, calling a foul, and waiving the red flag. Just like pollen, I'm allergic to bulls*** and I just sneezed. If anyone would like to refute me on this, feel free, but I'd also like to hear from those who's comments were deleted.

Now, for those of you who question what likeness Jamison Moody and Greg Kline have, besides being exact opposites on political affiliation and view, it is this simple:
1. Both are company men for their sides.

2. They both do not like to hear the opinion of the opposition and both do downplay it.

3. During extreme disagreement on their blogs, they will:
A. Delete your post; or
B. Ban you from their blog all together; or
(I will give Greg credit, he hasn't gone as far as to do B, but Jamison is famous for this)
C. Maybe even hide your name.

4. Both attempt to be passively belligerent to their opposition with little success. (Yeah Greg, I noticed the child saying the "Legend" line in the beginning.)

Much as in Jamison's case, Greg's credibility with me is going down like a skydiver without a parachute. Yes, call me on waiting until now to ask about the post with the edited identities and deleted posts, but as a good lawyer knows, there is a better time and place for everything.

Greg, I don't know you personally, and know little about you. Don't take this stuff as a personal attack, but I am not going to hesitate to throw my unadulterated observations out for everyone to see.

Senate Smoking Bill a Cop-Out

The bar and resturant smoking bill has dissappointed me. There has been an addition added to it that states "a Bar or Resturant that can claim their business has diminshed because of the loss of smoking may be exempt".

Great, just great. Leave it to the powers that be in this land to yet again pass another useless bill. Every bar owner in the state will be going faster to claim hardship than a fat man to get a sandwich.

I have a new slogan for the senate today

"As useful as a fart on a windy day"

I'm a refugee from the conservative refuge

I've listened to the past four conservative refuge PodCasts and I have to say "Its just too much like BS". Could this be too much like Bryan Simonaire or too much like BullSh**? Both.

Greg, you've lost my interest. I went to private school, got accepted into college, and even was able to bypass most of the English program due to the high scores I received during testing..... But I still need a dictionary and the rewind button to catch everything you say. Also, it seems you allow almost no rebuttal to your comments. I want to know what the other side has to say about the issue without your complete and udder input on what you think they may be delving into.

Maybe its just a little too conservative (and wordy) for my taste. Sorry to everyone if I seem to picky.

Jessup Correctional Closes its Doors....

Couldn't have happened soon enough. The problems this facility has had in the past year(s) are unacceptable.

Although, like well needed traffic lights at busy intersections, it took someone getting killed before there was a solution to the problem.

Senate Death Penalty Repeal Fails

No Big Suprise.......

It failed before......it failed now......it will fail again.......

Don Dwyer.... Better prepaired than a SWAT Team....

WBAL 11 News aired a story tonight on the 11-o'clock news about Don Dwyer and his "constant vigilance" of the threats that have been made towards him about his views on gay marriage. Needless to say my faint and only reaction was just to mutter to myself "Dwyer, Cry me a River".

To those who write hate letters to this lame excuse for a delegate..... For our own good here in Maryland, Please Stop! I'm tired of people who are giving this guy an excuse to spout his "story of misery" and also getting his message about about HB919. I really want this guy to have no chance at all of passing a bill, and giving him air-time on television is not helping my cause (not that I think its really going to pass in the first place).

As much as I don't like Dan Rodricks point of view....

I won't miss the opportunity to use it to agree with someone about the poor way that Martin O'Malley is beginning his term as governor. I want to hear O'Malley talk about banning special interest now.......

http://blogs.baltimoresun.com/news_local_rodricks/2007/03/wayne_and_wind.html

Leopold to Downzone Land in Annapolis Neck

I like seeing this headline, but its just in the wrong place.

It would read better to see: "Leopold to downzone land in Marley Neck and Tanyard Springs"

Lets face it, If the few thousand homes go in on Marley Neck Blvd. and Solley Road that are projected within the upcoming years, the Pasadena peninsula will be, for lack of better terms, one large cluster. Traffic is already at terrible conditions during peak hours of the day. With the addition of these homes, traffic on Fort Smallwood Road and Solley Road will be horrendous.

Let me add more fuel to the fire:

Our hospitals are already being overcrowded.......

Our ambulance system is being pushed to its wits end.........

Pumping stations for Sewage are popping up like Psoriasis.......

As are 3 new homes on sites where only 1 existed before.......

As are those who are defaulting on their payments for these luxurious new homes........

I also read today because of these defaults that our economy is slowly beginning to slip off-course. The further and further the public plunges themselves into debt, the closer we become to losing this economy.

Although, Folks, I don't think this economy is all that it makes itself to be. In truth, I think we are looking at a proxy economy.... taking place of the one that really belongs there. Soon, as in all things, the proxy will come to an end and the ugly truth will rear its head to bite many of us where it hurts, so lets prepair now.

Simonaire Backs off of School Board Bill

After the numerous weeks of waiting for a vote on the school board bill for Anne Arundel County, I now see that Sen. Bryan Simonaire has now backed down to "further investigate" and setup a committee on the situation. This was an extremely lousy way to say "I know I'm going to lose". Simonaire claimed before being elected that he was fighting for the people of the 31st district..... and now to see him back away from a fight for the people that elected him is an absolute shame. If he had done his homework in the first place... there wouldn't have been a need to back down.

If Simonaire ever reads this..... Thanks..... You just made me $50...... Betting you wouldn't stand your ground on an issue and showing your true colors about your beliefs.

Computer Virus Disables County Computer System....

On No! I lost access to my groupwise account! AA County computer system cripples under the enormous strain of a virus. We have to do payroll and accounting and all paperwork by hand!!! On no Mr. Peabody, we've just been catapulted back to 1973!

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/local/annearundel/bal-virus0308,0,2491750.story?coll=bal-local-headlines

I can't help but say that I agree with this....

Looks like the likelihood of a total smoking ban across the state is becoming bigger and bigger ever since the worthless baltimore city council (and mayor) actually did something worthwhile for a change. Firsthand testimony is playing a big part in the second-hand smoking problem, and having to deal with it myself in some capacities, I'm glad.

So, will it pass? Will it be a flop.....? All this and more, stayed tuned for next week....same bat time....same bat channel......

Hey Ma! Get a load of those Nads hanging from that man's Truck!

It brings humor back to light in the state house when some goofy legislator decides that hes going to attempt to stop me from hanging a set of giant testicles from my truck. Hey, lets not forget the breasts that dangle from rear-view mirrors.

Wish in one hand.....s*** in the other.......

When I tagged John Leopold's name in on election day I was sure hoping that my taxes would stay the same.....and maybe even go lower.... but even the shimmer of hope I had for that now seems to have gone by the wayside. I'm not yet sorry that the man got my vote, but I hope by the end of his four year term this go around he doesn't manage to drive me away from voting republican by making "Say one thing and do another" actions.

After ending my last paragraph I also have to include this thought.... I am going to be driven to vote democrat in the next upcoming elections. Not only Bush and the war have driven me this way, but the turnout of the election in the 31st district.
